- I think niantic's only fix to outgress is to stop email alerts completely.

- It's not whether Outgress exists. It's the fact that NIA hasn't even made a statement about it

- Maybe a format change

- This.

- I could get in on that. But again. Not high up on the list

- Outgress also charges money for their services, which is maybe easier for Niantic to shut down. But not my top priority this weekend.

- I really like that some people are encouraging this group to look into other things and continue what we are doing. Now if only we could get someone with access to enl.wtf

- NIantic could fairly easily shut down Outgress in 24 hours; they're charging for access. Clear TOS violation, but yes. Not top priority.

- Clear?

- Or just take the agent's name out of the attack emails

- I mean, arguable, but I don't think clear.

- Email a link to the info that a user has to login to see?

- same. i think a couple of people suspect but no one is asking me.

- I sent lthe new links to cleveland, Atlanta and Totonto Canada

- use the Services or Content, or any portion thereof, for any commercial purpose or for the benefit of any third party or in an manner not permitted by these Terms, including but not limited to (i) gathering inApp items or resources for sale outside the App, (ii) performing services in the App in exchange

- There's no need to know who the attacker is

- collect or store any personally identifiable information from the Services from other users of the Services without their express permission;

- Outgress owner claims that he's not storing PII; this is inaccurate.

- Right, if you made it just "plaintext portal name is under attack "

- Nothing else, outgress wouldnt have the data it needs to survive

- Yeah, Outgress is a super clear case. Just not high on my priority list. And I think we should finish this takedown before we start another

- Part of me is glad but part of me can't believe how dense they are

- I yield to actual lawyers on this, but "Any other identifier that permits the physical or online contacting of a specific individual."

- Online contacting

- Yea.

- I *think* that this would include agent name, since you can contact someone in faction comms.

- Also from the CA code: "A home or other physical address, including street name and name of a city or town."

- I can get a lawyer/player if we need one

- In the future

- The Outgress owner *horribly* understates the degree to which location information can be PII.

- I think I am fine with it. I don't want to skirt the truth so I would rather not be asked

- I can see why people would dislike Outgress. However, what it shows isn't the same as what a scraper shows, and the data is voluntarily given.

- πŸ™‹

- Oh right

- I had a vague sense I was forgetting someone in here

- No one is allowed to forget AnAmerican

- Hah, ROC ENL slack is especially enjoying the "it remains unclear" line πŸ’š

- Umm, Ana

- Yea I get that and agree. I guess I'm more disappointed cuz I thought they'd be smarter lol

- Folks I gotta Run I have a Scout Troop to Take camping for the Weekend I am likely oos till sunday. I got greater Toronto group buzzing with the money trail. Wish I could push some more today but I have realwold 2 dozen obligations that will be highly disapointed if everything is not wrapped up before we leave. see you by monday morning.

- It's free but you can pay for "additional services". I was on there just for the alerts and map. I deleted/removed all my info today. *sigh*

- When you join the Broker's Guild do they make you sign something that says you'll never enable comments on future G+ posts?

- I've never actually looked into outgress. I heard people complain about how inaccurate it is and it seemed more irritating than helpful. I notice when I Google names from the list, one of the things that pops up on the results every time is an outgress link tho

- From my basic using/understanding of it is that it only uses what it gets from the email notifications of portals attacked. From those it creates a heatmap of activity of agents.

- Is she on the list?

- Also SERIOUSLY

- Correct. It relies on attack notification emails being forwarded, and can only report based on that information.

- Matthew 7:12

- to defend GUARDIAN HUNTING

- She enabled reshares

- I kind of want to hijack it

- do unto others

- such bullshit

I want the slack invitation email.

- This is a good point

- Relique made me giggle today

- A few thoughts as I get through the backlog:

- [[Webpage]]In the comments on https://plus.google.com/+HRichardLoeb/posts/XidN2NNGYEz

- @PappyDeLong @PoisonIvy30, in other words, if a portal hit doesn't trigger at least one forwarded email notification, Outgress reports nothing.

- Right

- Ugh

- I do not feel good about going after Krug. If we discredit him, who becomes our potential ally at Niantic? We should save shots at him until and if he demonstrates unwillingness to follow this strongly.

- Vicki reshared Ruth's post, FWIW

- who is vicki

- mimtwin.

- Frankly, he's already demonstrated that he tolerates the RES scraping.

- heh

- Mostly retired, former leadership.

- Understood. Well crap. I think I just realized something.

- oh, i know the agent id

- And, at best, let someone at NIA know this was coming which resulted in the RES finding out.

- I think we need someone to take point on attacking the RES position that they were using grey tools to do white work. It's a weak stance, easily attacked, and now that they're buying in to it en masse it's appropriate to yank that rug out from under them.

- I was thinking the same

- My Krug problem is this.

- He knew about Riot months ago.

- He's been letting it run for whatever reason, *despite the pain this causes Enl*.

- yes.

- Regarding an additional bomb, we have the "a shrill noise" interview, and WB has given us permission to quote

- I don't think he's malicious, and I don't think he's in the pocket of Resistance.

- Yes

- But he has *got* to do better.

- Despite what it does to *the game*

- πŸ™„

- πŸ‘

- This is a good conversation for g+. It needs a cogent and respected owner. Can't be me or erich.

- What's that?

- it cant be me?

- I don't think you can afford to be front and center

- Not yet anyway

- I could work on this, but I don't have the audience

- You're right, my house wasnt in order

- I mean, I am not the boss of you, just sharing my feel

- I could possibly if others want to help build the argument

- that history isnt far away

- You would be very good for this job.

- I'd be happy to write it
