- Do we know yet whether the Whistleblower is a resistance agent, or an enlightened agent who infiltrated? I think that distinction makes a difference when we present the information. In my opinion, it's better if a resistance agent shared it with us as an act of good faith rather than RES being able to reverse the spotlight on how we were deceptive in infiltrating one of their chats.

- Agreed. As good as it may feel, we shouldn't be vindictive or game information release timing strictly for our advantage.

- That said, we are in anomaly season, and it sounds like we will need to release this shortly before an anomaly happens to be occurring.

- I think we have to release it in an organized format before anything is leaked in an unorganized way.

- We could play some really awful games like releasing 5 names a day and telling them ahead of time that's what we're doing. If you don't own up to it yourself, you will be outed publicly.

😈

- That would significantly amplify the signal by stretching it out over a long period.

- Who's going to pop up on the list today? Log in to find out!

- πŸ˜‚

- Our posts would become more anticipated than Krug's AMA.

- and/or links to other tools we may not know about

- Yepper. Global, eh.

- Can you lick the crumbs out of the bottom of a Pringles can?

- I would expect individual RES to deny the accusation by saying there are other purposes for that Slack. We need smoking gun evidence to show who is in the actual chats where the cheating is occurring.

- Tasty

- I scanned the member list very quickly and recognized at least 5 St. Louis and Illinois area players.

- wow. just wow. any chance he's the mole? otherwise, hypocrite!

- Vanguards

- they are "compensated"

- ew buoy

- πŸ˜• yep

- β˜οΈπŸ˜‚

- Has everyone had their dose of voyeurism for the day? This is pretty decadent.

- It's possible it's a good thing to have someone here with above average competency with tools like that in places where they are discussed just to keep a thumb on the pulse to tell them when it's time to pump the brakes when they cross the line.

- But would be sad to be associated with it if it blew up.

- Take the high road. We can list all the ways we could have used the information provided to us in an extremely obnoxious manner, but didn't because we're the class acts we are.

- Haha. You can't make it 3 hours!

- How many times have we told a new agent that placing a mod will not make them show up on player tracker...

- This will be excellent ammunition to shut down their comm trolling. "Remember when we all saw you using Riot/Radar/#bots?"

- Maybe that is a way to release the information. Ask for crowdsource help identifying the a/o of these agents identified cheating.

- That would certainly engage readers if they are asked to participate.

- There will be agents like me who don't recognize all the local names. Asking the swarm to fill in the a/o will let everyone in the area know who to shame.

- Ask for input on the website, and then update the list daily with the new information to keep people checking back?

- It would be stellar to be able to tag the offending agents in the G+ posts.

- Mmmm... Grrr... Yeah

- Yeah, definitely explain to everyone what these tools do.

- Enlightened agents, remember when you felt like your actions were able to be tracked, but you knew there was no way to do that based on comms data? Well...

- I think sometimes I lack the ability to have an extreme emotional response to things. I'm good at winding other people up, but I don't necessarily feel things to the extent they do.

- This is outrageous, and aggravating, but beyond giving an offending agent a sideways look and a tsk tsk while shaking my head and telling them they really messed up, I wouldn't be shaking with anger or anything.

I guess if people had lied to my face like with some of you I would feel stronger.

- I was thinking this earlier today and got sidetracked. Ultimately, I think getting this information out is more important.

- I expect them to just deny, deny, deny, and things will go on pretty much unchanged.

- If we pushed Niantic to do something as hard as we did about remote recharge, they might bork the entire system for everyone.

- What makes us think we only have 48 hours again?

- I trust this room more than any other.

- Trust me, I really want to tell people I'm close to, but I just wouldn't do that because of the faith I have in you all.

- True true. I guess I trusted this room to zip it like me.

- I've done it, but I'm not proficient enough to bang it out quickly enough to still take care of all my other responsibilities.

- ...and everyone could tag offending agents

- If we think we'll have opportunities to expose other things in the future, something like whistleblownsmurfs.com

- Yeah, people need to absorb it at a glance, then check the list.

- If it gets significant traffic, won't Squarespace demand payment?

- Their plans are ongoing monthly and yearly, though, right? You don't want to pay to keep this thing up forever.

- I was just thinking we'd have to pay hosting anyway if we leave it up in perpetuity.

- How about MySpace? πŸ˜‚

- What's the difference between an anonymous website and an anonymous G+ profile?

- True. Here's an informational website. All the supporting documentation is right here. Enjoy.

- We may end up throwing a monkey wrench in our timeline if Krug respectfully asks us to delay until he can take action internally.

- I think we want the exposure and transparency also.

- We don't want him to backroom it.

- An announcement is going to be made at such and such time, just wanted to be respectful and give you a heads-up that it's coming so you can do what you need to do.

- Must sleep. See you all tomorrow. πŸ‘

- #placeholder

- holy fartballs

- I thank all of you who have been at this all day. It took me over 2 hours to catch up and I'm gobsmacked by the breadth of their cheating and your tremendous condensation of it.

- I want to take the day off tomorrow to stalk G+ to watch the carnage.

- I want so badly to ping my local team and tell them to tune in to the shitstorm at 12pm central.

- Amen!

- πŸ˜‚ I can hear it. Was that Gladiator?

- I'd like to get everyone paying attention early... with something like: "There's something I want to scream at the top of my lungs from a mountaintop! But it wouldn't be prudent. Tune in tomorrow. You'll know it when you hear it. It'll be obvious."

- @rekkanoryo has one

- rented her out to someone else?

- It always fires me up. πŸ˜‚

- Why do you think anyone's passwords might be compromised?

- All mine are 16+ digit randomly generated with special characters and 2-factor authentication where possible. I don't even know what my passwords are.

- πŸ‘

- I figured this group had their shiznit on lockdown.

- I used to have the same password for everything until about 5 years ago. I get it.

- It's entertaining to read the speculative posts by people who don't know what we know.

- We are with you, brother. Shut them out and enjoy the heck outta that cruise!

- We're kind of a hearty bunch. πŸ˜‰

- hawt

- βœŠοΈπŸ˜ƒ

- who are we tagging in G+ posts besides niantic, niaops, niantic project, krug?

- hehe. riiiiight.

- What if they said nothing is cheating anymore and we can do anything we are technically advanced enough to do in the play of Ingress? That would be interesting.

- Yep. If they can't or are not willing to put in the effort to stop it, just open the floodgates.

- It would be the equivalent of a 3 year old dumping all the toys out of the toy box and stomping off. Here you go! Play however you want!

- Not at all

- We all got it. We're smart cookies!

- Award badges for measurable positive culture change, implementation, and management.

- Right. I was saying I don't like it either. Not at all.

- Sojourner. So simple. Entirely in the agent's control.

- The thing is though, even if they give clear guidelines they still can't enforce them and we will be in the same place we are now with individuals using whatever tools they want.

- I was thinking if they tried to say no to iitc. If they say yes, then that works.

- I was thinking more along the lines of finding ways to encourage positive culture. Technically, it doesn't sound like they can stop anyone from using anything, but they can give us more power to mold the player base.

- I think it's entirely possible the Aussie sent that email to more places than just the website email.

- I don't feel any enlightened anomaly operating tools are crossing any lines at all. They aren't an issue in the least.

- Well, I feel like we accomplished what we initially set out to do; expose a worldwide resistance cheating syndicate.

I have never been aware of any of these enlightened tools that people are saying cross the line. Heck, I didn't even know their names until people typed them here. Since I'm not in any of those places, and have no information about them, I won't be helpful in that phase of this campaign if that's where it's headed.

I've never used a tool I felt was sketchy. All the anomaly tools are above board and not in question. I feel absolutely comfortable using them, and would never betray the trust shared with me by fellow operators and tool developers by sharing those tools outside of the appropriate groups.

- I jumped on the train to help expose resistance cheating that was obviously cheating. I have no first-hand knowledge of anything similiar in the enlightened camp.

I have made a committment to anomaly orga and operating. All is above board and I'd love to continue on that path.

I think I'd prefer to focus my bandwidth on those fun and positive things, so I'll step out of this channel.
