- Thanks! Where can I find a quick summary of the facts?

- @Aneristic, indeed. Not something I'd make mention of anywhere but in TGR or here.

- Also, this is f**ked. It's highly organized cheating at an institutional level, right? No wonder they lose anomalies. They're too busy fooling around with rubbish like this.

- POCs are involved FFS. How can we hold Niantic's feet to the fire? Ensure it doesn't get swept under the rug?

- @slykens, would that arrogant ass take orders, though? From the regional clowns?

- Hmm.

- Yeah, I can't imagine that would work out.

- 'course there seems to be little need for it. I know it's a fairly big generalization, but I'd say a lot of our team has better things to do than hunt GPs, etc.

- πŸ™‚

- @GreatNorthern, never mind the pecking order aspects, the logistics of it would be prohibitive.

- Sorry, not sure I get the last bit?

- Ahh, yes, I get it.

- Quick thought before I hit the sack: are we planning two or three steps ahead? For instance, what if the lid is blown off and Niantic's response is to lock down intel? Make it nearly impossible to use any tools?

- I agree, it needs to be out there. It's utter bullshit and needs to be stopped. Just hoping Niantic doesn't take the cheapest, crappiest approach and punish everyone. Contemplating what would counter such a move on their part.

- Ugh.

- Damn. I'm still shocked when reading that.

- Goodnight everyone. Will catch up tomorrow.

- Just sent requests for the pieces I can't see yet.

- What can I help with? Do we have screenshots that need the text pulled out of them? Our software has OCR capabilities...

- @Aneristic, shall I update the Bot Members List spreadsheet if I have additional information?

- πŸ‘

- I agree. Maybe some lead time, but not much.

- Wow. Yeah, definitely worth consideration.

- Just agent names and what they have their fingers in (#bot, #radar, etc.) makes sense to me.

- So a map of the world, with a color scale for specific states/provinces/etc.?

- I'm imagining a map similar to what's seen for the electoral college. But one color, with levels of blue-ness.

- Hmm.

- @slykens: Wow, I'm sorta disappointed. Pittsburgh and Lehigh Valley have channels but we didn't get one here in State College! Hah hah!

- We "play for hate", right?

- So just the screenshots, text version of the list(s), brief explanation of what it is? I could get behind that, even though I'd love to see these bastards burn. "We're simply presenting the facts, folks. It's widespread organized cheating."

- πŸ‘

- It's the moral high ground. Once the anger wears off we can say we did the right thing.

- 'course I can be angry for a looooong time.

- @Intoku and @pongolyn, true and true.

- Bingo. Seems to me they'll root him or her out sooner or later, but we shouldn't help them by making it obvious.

- Pretty good guess.

- @Semiotiq, can we get the language of what's going to Krug as well as how it's getting to him? Email? Private G+ post? Chat medium of some sort?

- πŸ˜†

- Are we gonna start a timer from 1pm to see how long it takes before a full intel lockdown? πŸ˜‰

- πŸ‘

- Any way to reasonably anticipate how Krug and/or Niantic may react?

- If we're telling him to clear his calendar, just start with that and that alone. "Something big" is on the horizon which is probably going to need his attention.

- If it gets his attention, go from there. If it doesn't he can be surprised with everyone else.

- (Honestly, I'm in the "don't give anyone advance notice" boat, but I'm doing my best to be agreeable.)

- πŸ‘

- Wow. F**king creepy.

- Is it a unique id tied to that specific ENL agent?

- My guess would be for internal (RIOT) referencing, and/or external referencing.

- πŸ‘

- Indeed. Most of us here in State College scored the black Guardian sooner or later.

- πŸ‘

- @Semiotiq, just thought of something, seems pretty important. Right before we put things out there we ought to ensure we inspect the files themselves, removing any useful metadata.

- Even the filenames ought to be changed. 01.png, 02.png, etc.

- πŸ‘

- πŸ‘

- How many have sent so far?

- So from...

We recently received information documenting a large RES scraper network. Niantic employees, Niantic investors, Vanguards, and anomaly POCs are identified among those agents involved.

...to...?

- No, I mean the language change. It was changed to non-specific.

- DING!

- "Hello Andrew.

We recently received information documenting a large RES scraper network. Individuals in professional and trusted roles are identified among those agents involved.

We will release the information sometime after noon on Thursday the 19th. The team agreed that we should provide you a chance to prepare.

We know you're backlogged, so we're going to send this message from several people simultaneously to ensure that you receive it.

Sincere apologies for the spam."

- Double green check means Krug has seen the message, right?

- I'll keep an eye on it.

- Sure, no problem.

- Honestly, it'd be great if WB can remain completely anonymous. I don't wanna know anything about them, for fear of cracking under torture.

- Can we do that through the TG?

- That's my take. If I say anything the first thing will be "thank you."

- πŸ‘

- Well, shit.

- Well I hope none of her teammates go full-on sociopath because of this. There are gonna be a lot of upset people and who knows if they're unhinged.

- So, to be clear, if we join the chat with WB it could be seen by others not in the chat? Or just potentially shared by people within the chat?

- Oh, no, sharing that link outside of here wasn't a consideration at all. I just wanted to know if there's any way for someone outside of that chat to see who's in it.

- So I think that clears it up. The answer is "nope".

- @LilJimJim and @GreatNorthern were talking about contacts and removing WB from a list. Didn't quite get what this could reveal to outsiders.

- πŸ‘

- Likewise.

- I sent him a quick reply...

"Absolutely. Thank you for the reply, I'm certain you have a long list of things to do."

- Hahahah!

- Agreed, it's pretty damn clever. Too bad what they're doing with it just f**king wrong.

- @JemstarENL, looks like a hit got called in and the hit was made. Direct correlation can be established. Right?

- πŸ‘

- Unless the brokers have access to Niantic data I can't think of a way they could see hacks.

The only thing remotely close would be if someone were looking at portals via keys through the scanner and XM were missing around the portal.

That would indicate someone without a Lawson/Circle-K enabled is near the given portal; however, it wouldn't reveal who, or whether they're hacking or not.

Long story short, simulating a scanner via scripts seems highly unlikely at best, and still wouldn't reveal much.

- πŸ‘

- If there are trustworthy folks you have in mind, by all means, bring them in.

- ewdeschamps@gmail.com

- Wow. Working on the backlog.

- πŸ˜‰

- πŸ˜†

- I just jumped to the bottom this morning. Is there still stuff to examine/review? Just checked email again and I don't see anything about previewing the site.

- Cool. Email and any user/pass? Or should I use something anonymous?

- Roger. Thought that was the case.

- Thanks.

- Sent.

- @theprevaricator just tried again, any luck?

- I too am puzzled by the dev being in there. I've been conteplating possible angles ever since I found out. @Catw0man1 may have nailed it, the dev is in there to see what they're up to.

- But why would Niantic "go along with it"? That's what puzzles me.

- Hmm...

- πŸ‘

- This.

- Interesting that you bring this up. I wonder how much they used this to enforce the rank structure within the faction. I know I read/heard many times about RES up the chain threatening those below them with burning their GP(s) if they didn't toe the line.

- πŸ˜†

- Our local Slack is on fire.

- People are going nuts.

- A couple of our former RES had said in the past they were never allowed into the local "inner circle" of assholes. I just asked them if, looking back on it, they're glad they weren't a part of it. His reply? "I was just thinking the same thing, man."

- 23,343 people know about the Brokers Guild

- Yes, looks like it was reposted twice now. First was "So...there a reason thid thread getting hidden?" Second was a repost.

- "I don't have access to any of that shit"?

- Well, if the shit does hit the fan and punishments are handed out, every damn one of them is gonna deny involvement. It'd be really tough to prove a lack of involvement if the name's on the list.

- Are you fucking shitting me?!

- That's shameful. They won't cover it up, though. Cat's out of the bag now...

- Please share?

- Wow. Admission of guilt?

- Fuck that guy indeed.

- That medic guy, is he a medical marvel? I suspect his mouth and his ass are the reverse of the rest of us.

- Shall we start a spreadsheet?

- πŸ‘

- πŸ˜†

- Oh, no problem at all, didn't realize that's what you were referring to. πŸ™‚

- No apology needed whatsoever.

- We have that, right?

- πŸ‘

- My guess is what they want would require acess to the system itself. Full access at that.

- Bingo.

- Well, we DID give him a head's up...

- Oh, I dunno, seems like a lot of these bastards would just re-roll.

- IMEI numbers are unique, right? But Google and Apple won't permit it?

- Ahh.

- πŸ˜†

- Ooh...someone is upset...

- [[Webpage]]Doing my best to catch all the G+ posts. Adding them to this sheet...

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16ZSMb-FLiJckeKcuPI21gJhf2DkoO822Il4_QjDavUs/edit?usp=drivesdk

- Got it. Added.

- Got it. Added.

- Got it, ollie!

- πŸ‘

- Heh heh!

- Oh, should I remove it from the list?

- Hah hah!

- πŸ˜†

- "The post could not be found"...

- Okey doke.

- Think it'll hit the front page on reddit?

- πŸ˜‰

- Yeah, but I love it anyway. I rarely post, but I love reading it and shaking my head...

- Me too. I hit it from another browser, not logged in. Wasn't on the front page. Yet.

- Yeah, I don't go anywhere that stuff. There's some scary shit on there, to be sure.

- 😊

- Yup.

- Oh?

- Are they right, though? Do we have any idea?

- Well, if we share WB's quotes and they have the wrong person...

- Interesting.

- Indeed. You all have done some amazing stuff here. Glad I could be a small part of it.

- What's our next move?

- πŸ™‚

- Doing the backlog dance but this caught my eye. @vedorian, that's fucked. Anything I can do, man, let me know.

- I can see why people would dislike Outgress. However, what it shows isn't the same as what a scraper shows, and the data is voluntarily given.

- Correct. It relies on attack notification emails being forwarded, and can only report based on that information.

- @PappyDeLong @PoisonIvy30, in other words, if a portal hit doesn't trigger at least one forwarded email notification, Outgress reports nothing.

- πŸ™„

- πŸ‘

- What's that?

- Krug knew about RIOT? We're sure of this?

- Ahh. Good chance of it.

- Maybe? My opinion, though, it's not a big deal.

- Man, this really bums me out. Disappointing.

- πŸ€”

- πŸ‘

- @Intoku, glad to help if I can.

- Holy shit! It's not just me, that's some serious info, right?!

- @theprevaricator?

- @Semiotiq, would you preserve the source? Would it matter?

- πŸ‘

- Hah! They can't!

- "I just accidentally clicked the invite link, accidentally created a username, accidentally created a password..."

- @deafone @RevDegen, yup, lemme grab the link.

- Actually, it may be in the pin...

- ...okay not in the pin, lemme grab the link.

- Yup, that's it. Hah hah!

- πŸ˜†

- @deafone, yeah, was just throwing them into a spreadsheet.

- πŸ‘
