- I think we're on as soon as both WB is ready and we're ready.

- I'm a pessimist and there are 40 people in this chat. I trust all of you, but it's the mistakes that blow op sec.

- 50 people can't keep a secret

- no one is any good at opsec.

- The people who worked on these tools have every reason to keep opsec, he slipped once, and I know exactly who he is.

- We are the reason we can't have nice things.

- I trust this room more than any other.

- This is a powder keg

- its too big

- so, we're on the clock.

- 48 is arbitrary, could last longer, but you know.

- My fault, maybe. I'm ok with it.

- is it all you want to think and talk about? then its all someone else wants to think and talk about and they will want to clue their special ingress person into it so they are in the know for when it hits. That special ingress person will tell someone

- Trust me, I really want to tell people I'm close to, but I just wouldn't do that because of the faith I have in you all.

- etc etc

- Is WB OK with accelerated timeline? Not saying they get a veto, but they should know when to go to an interior room away from windows.

- At the end of the day the data in that folder right now is explosive and significant; worrying about release strategies is just optimizing.

- that conversation happens Soon.

- True true. I guess I trusted this room to zip it like me.

- Thank you.

- yes. It's just the next thing.

- Yep.

- so who is making this website?

- we have 48 hours?

- It took a whistle blower how long before evidence can out, we can keep this for more than a few hours of we keep emotion even excite me t out of it

- website needs to be gtg tomorrow night

- well I did invite a website developer

- But we can't count on it for long

- whats that you say? square space you say?

- I've done it, but I'm not proficient enough to bang it out quickly enough to still take care of all my other responsibilities.

- Advantages of website:

- fun FQDN
- easy persistence
- easy to consume if well designed

Disadvantages:

- pain in the ass to set up and develop

- I can't bang it out tonight or tomorrow. I can bang it out Thursday.

- Goodnight everyone. Will catch up tomorrow.

- Rapid development = we put one person in charge of each major job and then trust them to do it and don't second guess them.

- Why not just make it an anonymous g+ page with one post containing the info? Easy enough, and lends itself well to sharing

- roles for website:

- framework implementation
- information architecture
- writing words

- Rather than making a website

- True, a G+ would be super fast.

- I don't like anonymous g+ because it opens a new avenue for attack

- but I cant embedd a chart in a G+

- other than linking to a public document

- ...and everyone could tag offending agents

- Websites are mediagenic but otherwise not worth getting hung up on.

- website doesn't feel as vulnerable to that

- website has persistence

- Ok, understood

- need to refer back to that time that RES got pantsed over institutional cheating? "cheating.willbe.blue"

- You can short url anything

- Smurfs.willbe.blue?

- I'm just goofing with the name. could be anything catching. I think willbe.blue is already claimed.

- Smurf tears, idk

- [[Webpage]]See tinyurl.com/MimosaSmiles

- ok good point

- Yeah, RES owns that one

- we could tinyurl the g+ post

- If we think we'll have opportunities to expose other things in the future, something like whistleblownsmurfs.com

- Ah, that makes sense

- or the reddit. but the reddit is going to be open to comment, and I don't want to drive traffic to that

- this should stand on its own, I think.

- and it has to be dead simple. A little exposition, a spreadsheet, a lot of corroborating images.

- some corroborating stories, if we can get them

- Yeah, people need to absorb it at a glance, then check the list.

- How about I do it on a throw away squarespace account, URL would be smartsmurfthing.square-space.com and then you do a tiny url to it?

- Is basically free.

- and mobile responsive design

- that's relevant

- im sure its hacky to a professional, but he is busy

- That would work

- If it gets significant traffic, won't Squarespace demand payment?

- I don't know squarespace, I guess is my reservation.

- It would have to be pretty significant

- and I can cover that

- Their plans are ongoing monthly and yearly, though, right? You don't want to pay to keep this thing up forever.

- fair enough. Id run it a few months and shut it down

- if you want it to live forever, we'd need to put it somewhere we have a webhost

- disastertrident is my goto

- this

- I was just thinking we'd have to pay hosting anyway if we leave it up in perpetuity.

- I've spent more in gas fielding, I have no problem assisting in funding,

- What about tumblr?

- but not $12 a mo hosting

- I dont know it

- Maybe a blogspot

- How about MySpace? πŸ˜‚

- yeah google offers pretty easy hosting too

- What's the difference between an anonymous website and an anonymous G+ profile?

- I think the right thing to do is define loose parameters for each job, assign jobs to people we trust to do them, and then have everyone with related jobs talk to each other.

- lol

- what are the jobs again?

- someone needs to get those images into usable format

- crop down and remove any metadata

- G+ is a personal space. You pay attention to the identity of the person who is talking to you. If that person is obviously, intentionally anonymous, it feels suspicious. It's about feel.

Websites are expected to be anonymous. You read a website, you consume data, you don't think about who is talking to you.

- So do we just want an intro blurb like "On 17 October 2017, some information about Resistance TOS-violating practices was revealed to Enlightened agents. Among this information was a collection of screenshots of Resistance Slack channels that employ comm-scraping for several reasons, including, but not limited to:
- Guardian portal lookup requests by agent
- Deployment of mods on portals
- etc, etc"
?

- And from there we provide the list of res names involved

- job 1: Establish platform. Must be anonymous, persistent and collaborative
job 2: Information architecture. Determine what needs to be on the page
job 3: write words that go in the word boxes

- True. Here's an informational website. All the supporting documentation is right here. Enjoy.

- Noting vanguards and Niantic employees

- jobs 2 and 3 could combine. All 3 jobs could combine. But we're on a clock and we have a lot of smart people who are good at things and we should get mileage out of them.

- Website for that reason is the best choice. Above g+ Tumblr etc.

- I'm going to benevolently dictate that we have to release no later than Friday morning, regardless of WB's wishes.
