I am not afraid of my standing in the faction. I am not seeking power. I don't need tools access if I am on an ENL blacklist somehow and get access revoked.

Apparently people have been sharing screenshots out of the ops chat too. I'm not involved in that. That along with whatever he was told has them all paranoid

But to have those of us who are in anomaly ops get access revoked is too convenient.

I can understand being scared as a developer if some of what's been said in here was shared. It's a justifiable defensive move. Has anyone thought about responding to the developer directly?

Yes. We have deeply entrenched factional prejudices against information sharing and supporting the sancticty of tools.


This isn't any one thing. It's a collection of signals hitting critical mass and setting off spidey senses, I think.

At the moment, he only suspects people of being involved. If one of us approached him, it would be confirmed and I don't think he would be convinced that we aren't trying to steal or expose them

We've talked frankly about our willingness to expose wrongfooted ENL tools. That word is circulating. It's going to have repercussions.

Ok here's my thing:. If someone in here is not comfortable with what we are doing, then they should say so and get out. Not run around telling things to other people

I don't feel any enlightened anomaly operating tools are crossing any lines at all. They aren't an issue in the least.

It's not what people are being told, it's what people responsible for those tools are choosing to interpret.

This stuff is easy for me to say. I'm not an anomaly operator, nor will I ever be. I don't have any skin in that game.

I didn't mean as a group though. We've got a range of opinions in here for which tools are okay and which are not, as well as what the reporting threshold is or should be. If you're an anomaly operator with access to anomaly tools, and you want to preserve that connection, maybe it would be worthwhile approaching the dev(s) to explain your position.

ENL nation already assumes I'm not to be trusted with tools, and I'm fine with that.

My honest read is that if you're an anomaly operator with access to anomaly tools, you should probably get outta here if you have a commitment to preserving that privilege.


We have a deep, hard culture of rigidly protecting the sanctity of tools. The position I've taken on that sort of thing is going to rub off on everyone, and the paranoia wave is going to spread fast.

My definition of cheating does not include the tools we use to fly megafields, or the tools I use to win anomalies. There's no need to drive a wedge between those of us who operate anomalies and those who haven't

Whether we want to preserve that or not is past being an issue. It is apparently already known that I'm here so leaving doesn't do any good. I simply wish that whoever felt the need to say anything outside of here would've had the decency to stand up.

I have never been aware of any of these enlightened tools that people are saying cross the line. Heck, I didn't even know their names until people typed them here. Since I'm not in any of those places, and have no information about them, I won't be helpful in that phase of this campaign if that's where it's headed.


I've never used a tool I felt was sketchy. All the anomaly tools are above board and not in question. I feel absolutely comfortable using them, and would never betray the trust shared with me by fellow operators and tool developers by sharing those tools outside of the appropriate groups.

We and a lot of other people have had a long, hard week. Some people are having a hard moment, late at night on a Friday. If you have the space in your heart to breathe and let it be for a little while, I think things will settle down

I guess I'm at a bit of a loss at how to properly describe the people on Green Team who are going to feel threatened by what we're doing, but I know they exist. "perennial anomaly orga" wasn't the best label. That's not really it.

I'm not leaving but I need to step away. I'm so beyond irritated. Not at losing access to tools but at the thought that someone in a trusted group said or did something that resulted in the loss instead of speaking up. Idk if that's truly the case but it feels like it

I jumped on the train to help expose resistance cheating that was obviously cheating. I have no first-hand knowledge of anything similiar in the enlightened camp.


I have made a committment to anomaly orga and operating. All is above board and I'd love to continue on that path.


I think I'd prefer to focus my bandwidth on those fun and positive things, so I'll step out of this channel.

I think this is a reasonable tack that even a panicked developer who understandably reacted in fear to secondhand information might understand after a little time has passed, if approached directly and individually. They also might not. I think leaving the room is probably pointless at this stage, unless the point is you're upset and feel betrayed, which is also understandable, even if a leak was unavoidable.

We're under attack for taking a stand. Some of us are on shifter sands than others, some of us are more prepared for that than others. We came here to expose a tool that is unquestionably cheating, unquestionably bad acting. Our work isn't done yet.

I do feel betrayed. By a group that I didn't expect it from. A leak is understandable? Someone going directly to an anomaly tools Dev and saying people want to expose tools and possibly giving names is understandable? Someone telling their best friend or closest enl agent that they are part of the anonymous group behind the big res exposure is understandable

That part I could understand because I wanted to say something so badly to someone. Anyone. Because I was proud of what we were doing.

What I feel has happened isn't understandable

Can we please focus on that single task, and protect and support one another in that endeavor? If you feel like there are other tools that need dismantling, or another dragon you'd like to slay from the back of this one, start another breakout. Please don't co-opt the efforts of the people here who have put good faith into this single cause. Please also lift up and support your fellow agents in this who are under attack by focusing on THIS issue.

The only person I talked to was my friend that Erich talked to last night from Charlotte. Erich used an anonymous HO name to contact him and I did not give any names. The only person's name he has to connect with this is my own. I'm sure leaks are unavoidable at some point, but really hate to think of it coming from this group. I trust all of you to the highest degree, that hasn't changed and won't until I have specific​ evidence to not trust someone.

A lot of people were bound to be made uncomfortable this week. Just because someone said that they have inside information from some room doesn't mean they do, or that it's from this room. People are going to say a lot of things. A lot of those things will be unwise, and some will be unkind or feel like attacks

honestly, I think all of the issues we're currently facing are a result of that dynamic. Once we became institutionally comfortable about wrecking cheater platforms regardless of faction, it started making people nervous.
