Someone from Europe came to New York City and he was invited to Farms by the resistance, and somebody had mentioned something about Brokers Guild that one of our guys overheard

I specifically searched my telegram about that word because I had remembered that conversation in passing

the same res have been hunting guardians for years here. if the Brokers' Guild is only 18 months old, i suspect it's a new front-end gui for the same DB they've always used

It took them a long time to fuck up, so they probably had a pretty good system for weeding out unreliable contributors.

That's going to speak to a certain amount of seniority among the user base. Might not necessarily all be play drivers, but they're going to be people that have been around long enough to become known and trusted.

I would expect individual RES to deny the accusation by saying there are other purposes for that Slack. We need smoking gun evidence to show who is in the actual chats where the cheating is occurring.

Like, we see they scraped agent xyz. We look for the comm data that it got hit and go to that person, say hey I heard your guardian got hit. We are working on a thing about guardian hunting would you tell us a bit of the story about it.

Then post all the data together.

This is reasonable. Also I think attempting to use this to our strategic advantage could backfire MASSIVELY. Especially considering all it would take is a solid spin campaign or the whistle having gamed us all to burn a lot of reputations. We've (mostly all you, I'm just a fly on the wall anymore) worked hard to build community and facilitate fair play collectively in our own little areas of the Ingress Sphere of weirdness. This seems like a great opportunity for a smear campaign against us.


My biggest question as I read through the scroll back is more focused on how trust worthy our whistle is and why this is just now being blown. Who benefits the most from this all falling into the public space?
